Field Engineer – Chemical (POWER, CCGT, and CCPP)

Field Engineer – Chemical (POWER, CCGT, and CCPP) are required to join our clients Project team based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The prospective candidate must have the following industry knowledge and experience;

• The duties in particular include, but not limited to:
• Work as part of a multi-discipline team to ensure the safe commissioning and operation of
• GT, HRSG and ST plant.
• Review of EPC Contractors site documentation including commissioning procedures,
• Operating procedures and programs.
• Establish benchmarks for system performance for combustion, water, steam, gas, effluent and lubricants typical to a Combined Cycle Power Plant and ensure adherence to these criteria.
• Liaise with Suppliers and Client Chemists to ensure adherence and implementation of current best practices
• Work closely with process chemists and control engineers to ensure the process plant is
• set up to provide maximum output levels and efficient running of the production facility
• Optimise production by analysing processes and compiling de-bottleneck studies
• Applying new technologies
• Ensuring that potential safety issues related to the project operator, the environment, the
• Process and the product are considered at all stages.
• Liaise with supervisors and contractors/suppliers, workers and staff in handling all
• activities including procedure write-up and documentation submission
• Perform tests throughout stages of production to determine degree of control over
• Variables, including temperature, density, specific gravity, and pressure.
• Monitoring and reporting on the Contractors progress with respect to the project program
• Provide the project team with an accurate assessment of the chemical requirements and status to ensure subsequent decisions are well founded
• Participate in site meetings by arrangement with the Project Manager/Site Manager
• Participate in technical reviews for QA/QC and engineering works

Required Capabilities and Qualification;

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering from a reputable university

• Min. 15 years of related experience in large Projects and Min. 10 years of experience as Field Engineer in Thermal Power Projects

• Preferably experience in the Middle East resp. Saudi Arabia

• Team player and good communication skills

• Good health condition
